The main colours used are black, White and pink. pink is a simple because the name of the artist is pink. the image takes up the whole of the first page. the title is in white and pink which gives a womanly vibe. the story look very long taken up one page even thought the font is very small. the writing in bold black shows a quote from pink. there are no advertisements and looks like a very simple page. and easy to read and understand. although the colours are girly the image gives it a bit more of a rock theme.

The main colours used are Black, red and white which relates to the magazine as the logo are the same colours. lily Allen has taken up the whole of the 2ND page and the title takes up alot of the other page. the title stand out withe black background and quote marks show a quote the story words are at a small font and the story doesn't look very long. but the whole page in all it out very neatly and the page looks full of information but doesn't look to full. and is easy reading.

Two page spread

this kerrang two page spread has kept with the original colours the title is in speech marks to show that is it a quote. the first page is nearly covered one image of the band member. in the left hand side is a pug showing that there is big news which catches the readers attention. the story itself is actually quit small because of the images and title taking up the room. the first letter of the first word indicates that thats the start of the story. along the right hand side is a white strip which stands with more information e.g suggestions or questions or statements abut the story, the background is black which the reader can clearly see everything that is meant to stand out. the images are in black and white which shows them to be more dramatic.
Main colours used: red, white and black. the two main images are centered to show main stories. the title of the magazine is in it traditional colours and set to the left. the stories are all set in lists very small however the stories are categorized which makes it easier for the reader if there look for something specific. there are advertisements for other music related things. all the font is written in black and where they have made it bold it is easy to find which would save confusion. i think this contents looks to complicated and too much is cramped on one page. 'This Week' happens to be bigger then the title itself. to a reader it sounds so up to date.
Main colours used: orange, black and white. the main title of the magazine is in big black writing which is clear to see and readable. the main image is centered large which the reader assumes is about the main story. the other stories are listed on the side with the font rather large as well. at the bottom there re some smaller images relating to the stories. the date is presented large the top so the reader doesn't have to look around for how old the issue is. compositions and page numbers are there to advertise and bring the reader in.

Contents

Main colours used: Black, yellow, white. a main image catches the readers attention especially with an attractive male. this shows what the main stories are. sizes show importance. all the other stories are down the right hand side listed. the word contents has ben made bold and clear to read. underneath is a quote by a band about another band. the page numbers are next to the stories the categories that the stories are under such as "reviews" have been given a black background with yellow writing this catches the readers attention.
The main colours used are Red,black and white. the bands heads are all covering the title but still clear to see what the magazine is called. the bands name are at the bottom to advertise. it is in white writing with a black outline. the stories are all down to one side leaving plenty of room for the main image of the band. i think this magazine cover is quite simple and plain it doesn't really catch the readers attention. the band stand out because of there dark clothes among a cheery background shows the reader where the band come from.

Main colours used: Black, yellow and white. grey and white main image of frank carter stands out in front of the black background which indicates main story along with the title of the band "Gallows" beside in there own theme, while other stories are in all the same font. white writing shows up clearly. frank carters head covering the title but still readable. pug included with a white background and black writing to show up. lost of room for extra information about other stories inside the magazine."free CD" in yellow bold and font made bigger for advertisement, and 2nd main story shows a little picture of Frank Iero, while the rest of the stories are shown as lists which clearly show importance.

Front cover analysis 1

main colours used: Black, white and red. main image cover the whole front cover which leaves no room for any other stories. bands name is red bold font to atrract readers attention. heads are all covering the title but still easily readable. the word "metal" is smaller and fits inside the H in black which stands out against the red. the band are all dressed in black to show genre of music which is easy to see is a metal themed not to mention the name of the magazine gives it away.
